The IFI College Internship Program was recently launched to provide undergraduate education majors with an opportunity to get some hands work experience by interacting with a couple of dozen schools. The essence of the program is to help schools to complete the IFI School-Based Fatherhood Assessment and then, school by school, create and implement a plan for increasing the level of father engagement.
Research conducted over 30 years shows that when both parents are involved in their child(ren)s education, educational outcomes increase and many of the negative issues holding kids and society back, go down or go away. In other words, Greater Father Involvement = Greater Student Achievement.
Three schools have stepped up to help recruit undergraduate interns. They are Northwestern University, Illinois State University, and National Louis University. For more information on the IFI College Internship Program, please click here or send an email to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
