John Kass was born on Chicago’s South Side and grew up there and in Oak Lawn. He worked for the Daily Calumet before leaving to work with the Tribune. Mr. Kass has won a number of professional awards, including the Chicago Tribune’s Beck Award for writing.
Mr.Kass lives in the western suburbs with his wife and twin sons.
Charles Tillman, a four-year starter at LCB at Louisiana-Lafayette, leads the Bears with 33 interceptions since being drafted by Chicago in 2003. His Charles Tillman’s Cornerstone Foundation’s focus is to improve the lives of critically and chronically ill children throughout greater Chicago.
Mr. Tillman and his wife Jackie have 4 children.
